Our Second Featured artist, Irv Williams, is by far one of the most exciting and innovative digital artist we could hope to host at SUVA gallery. Irv's photography takes a new look at graffiti, one of America’s most infamous and controversial art forms. Through his studied eye we see painterly compositions taken from images spray-painted on the sides of railroad boxcars. These pieces are so stunning it is hard to walk away. You may find yourself returning again to a favorite piece for one more thoughtful examination of this man's delightful work. Please make time to come in and view this exhibit because we think that you will love it.

"Recycled, Upcycled and Repurposed" has been postponed one week due do a conflict in schedules and will open on Saturday, June 19th.

Thanks to all our friends who attended the recycled reception. The show is FABULOUS; highlighting the work of Pamela Landell, craft book author Colette George, Madalyn Dixon, Christina Fox, Donna Denison, Colleen Hanks, Michael Dixon and Catherine Gullifer. It's a must see!

Coming on July 10th, featured artist Mr. Donald Brown. He's the master of digitally altered photography! Don will be at the gallery most of the day. Come around any time between 1 and 6 pm to meet him and see his wonderful work! As usual, we'll have goodies to eat and something cold to drink!

We will be changing our featured artist reception day to the third Thursday of the month. Trying to find our own unique niche where we won't be competing with other similar events in the area! Our next featured artist will be Jon Leach, an abstract painter from Winston, Oregon.

We hung 23 pieces of Jon Leach's magnificent art today and we couldn't be more excited! This will be a wonderful show and we are having live entertainment at the reception; a duo called "Simply Bones" featuring guitarists Bob Malone and Dan Bedford. Henry Estate will be on hand to serve their delectable wine. Join us between 5 and 7pm Thursday. Jon will also be at the gallery all day Saturday. Come by and meet him!

Jon's reception was a lot of fun. We had a nice turn out and the wine and music gave the event a party feeling. Thanks to all who attended, Shasta Ray Productions, Simply Bones, Henry Estate and of course, our featured artist, Jon Leach!
